After being away for many years, Mary Hipp made her way back home to the Upstate of South Carolina, and she brought big dreams with her.  Her love for people mixed with her passion for cooking and her experience in the food industry became the recipe for success for an wonderful new initiative that would serve the Upstate in a variety of ways.  Born from a 2015 planning meeting of local community leaders, the concept of Feed & Seed Company took shape.  An innovative network of partners, facilities, and programs has increased access to healthy foods to all people, while supporting small farms throughout the region.  It’s a win-win approach to health and wellness for both people and the local economy.  The 2023 issue of The Carolina Crescent will feature a Q&A with Mary Hipp and Director of Operations, Adam Sturm.
